Dumplings
Happy February! I decided to start off this month with a dish from one of the most romantic places in the world: Gnocchi from Italy! It just seemed fitting :] The word gnocchi means "lumps", and I would best describe this dish as dumplings in a creamy parmesan cheese sauce. I like to add some sort of vegetable to it and serve it with bread to balance the overall plate. It's a great appetizer but it is filling!

Mis en Place
- 2 potatoes, cut in half and peeled
- 1/4 cup egg, lightly beaten
- 1 cup of unbleached all-purpose flour
- Salt to taste
- Garlic or Garlic powder to taste
- 1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/s cup spinach
Step 1: The Dough
Fill a large pot with water and add salt. Place the potatoes in the pot once the water has come to a boil and cook until the potatoes are tender throughout.
Step 2: The 'Dumplings'
Step 3: The Sauce
